This is the hint.
With this latest volume, this popular series of Times2 Jumbo crossword books reaches double figures and brings the total of Jumbo puzzles published in this way to six hundred.
The format by now is well-established. If you have enjoyed earlier volumes then there is every expectation that you will enjoy this further selection, which comprises puzzles published by The Times between December 2011 and December 2012.
If you are new to the puzzle, it shouldn’t take you long to discover what has made the puzzle so compulsively enjoyable since the first one appeared in 1993.
The level of difficulty is intended to allow completion with a gentle exercising of the mind, never intentionally obscure, never intentionally too easy, though inevitably the practical definition of those terms will vary a little from solver to solver. The intention is always to while away a few hours of your spare time pleasurably, not to generate frustration and annoyance! If all else fails, the answers are, as usual, listed at the back of the book.
Once again, Dave Crossland has brought his admirable attention to detail to the task of proofreading this volume and I am very grateful for his helpful assistance.
I wish everyone tackling this volume the very best of success.
